Beware of the full moon.

A werewolf wants to take you into his world. Forever.

Celeste and Brandon know that Nash in werewolf form is bad news. But a new prediction from psychic Dr. Meadows has Celeste wondering: Which of them wants to turn her into a werewolf?

Still on Celeste's and Brandon's minds is the "cure" from Brandon's father. Brandon must face one dilemma he hadn't anticipated—if his dad's serum really does work, is he willing to give up being a werewolf for good? Is Celeste willing to give up her heroic werewolf boyfriend? And when Nash finds out there's a cure, will he try to take it from Brandon as they continue to deal with their rivalry, their competing affections for Celeste, and their struggles with their werewolf identities?

Then things grow still more complicated when a gang of sketchy guys from a neigh-boring town comes to Legend's Run just before the big Werewolf Festival. What, or whom, are they looking for?

The third installment in the sumptuous series about werewolves and the popular girl who loves one is
full of danger, mystery, and undeniably romantic full moon kisses.

Life was different in the Before: before vampires began devouring humans in a swarm across America; before the surviving young people were rounded up and quarantined. These days, we know what those quarantines are—holding pens where human blood is turned into more food for the undead monsters, known as Ticks. Surrounded by electrical fences, most kids try to survive the Farms by turning on each other…

And when trust is a thing of the past, escape is nearly impossible.

Lily and her twin sister Mel have a plan. Though Mel can barely communicate, her autism helps her notice things no one else notices—like the portion of electrical fence that gets turned off every night. Getting across won’t be easy, but as Lily gathers what they need to escape, a familiar face appears out of nowhere, offering to help…

Carter was a schoolmate of Lily’s in the Before. Managing to evade capture until now, he has valuable knowledge of the outside world. But like everyone on the Farm, Carter has his own agenda, and he knows that behind the Ticks is an even more dangerous threat to the human race...

Arthurian legend mixes with modern-day witchcraft in this haunting sequel to Legacy, which Publishers Weekly said “should please the legions of paranormal fans looking for a sophisticated supernatural thriller.”
After the riveting—and romantic—events of Legacy, Katy has won Peter’s heart and is now claiming her place in the magical world. Though half the students at her boarding school come from witching lines, the use of magic is expressly forbidden at Ainsworth, so as to keep the witching world hidden from the blue-blooded preppies, aka Muffies, who also walk the halls.   But the Muffies have at least a notion of magic, because Katy catches them staging a made-up ritual—and to her astonishment, the girls collapse at Katy’s feet and fall into comas. When Katy is blamed, she becomes desperate to clear her name and finds herself battling all odds to harness her growing magical powers in order to save the Muffies and dispel the Darkness once more.

There's nowhere left to hide.

Ithought vampires were our enemies—they controlled our lives, isolated our cities, and demanded our blood—until I met Victor. With Victor taking over as the new Lord Valentine, things were supposed to get better. Instead, they're worse than ever.

Day Walkers, a new breed of vampires who can walk in the sun, are terrorizing the city. Blood supplies are low, and if Victor's vampires don't get enough, they will become infected with the Thirst—a disease that will turn them into mindless killers.

To stop it, I must journey across the desolate wasteland to the very place where the sickness began. I can only hope that the answers that await me are enough to save us all . . . before it's too late.

Feature and Follow Friday

FF 2012 Feature & Follow #123

It's Friday! I have just enough time to join the social hop before I am off to work for the day! As always thank you Parajunkee and Alison Can Read for hosting.

The question this week is:

Q: Books are turned into movies all the time! Turn it around. What movie would make a great book?

Ok so it's not a movie but I have really enjoyed watching the show Lost Girl. I suppose you could say that it already resembles a lot of urban fantasy novels but I love Bo and the witty banter between her and all the other characters. I also love that it is Canadian! It does an interesting take on the light and dark fae, creatures with supernatural powers, AND it has some juicy sex scenes ;) If you have not heard of this show please check it out!

Happy Reading everyone!

The Mortal Instruments: Official Teaser Trailer

The rumours were right and The Mortal Instruments teaser trailer delivered far more content then most teasers do! Teaser trailers are often misleading (based on the Hunger Games trailer I thought I would love the movie but was fairly disaponited once I saw the film) but if the film can live up to it's promise I  am going to love watching City of Bones come to life on the big screne.

I am so excited to see this movie!

Reached Gets Released!

I nearly forgot! Guess what I will be staying up all night reading tomorrow? Woot woot!

The Mortal Instruments Trailer Count Down

Photo: Having a Mundane Monday? This will cheer you up!I have been nearly vibrating with excitement over the past few days after compiling the list of books being made into movies in 2013 and beyond! Of all the books being turned into movies (and there does seem to be an awful lot of them) I am most excited about, The City of Bones by Cassandra Claire which will hit theaters on August 23, 3013! I know each and every one of us imagines the characters in each book in various ways and casting directors don't always get it right, but for me I feel like they plucked Clary Fray right out of my head when they chose this actress! Now Jace Wayland and Isabelle Lightwood on the other hand......not so much.

Either way I CAN'T WAIT until this Thursday to watch the teaser trailer for The Mortal Instruments. Rumour has it that unlike most teaser trailers which provide very little insight into the movie this trailer is going to show a lot more! *happy dance*

Which book to movie are you looking forward to this year? Are you happy with who they have cast? Which movie in the past have were you most excited to see come to the big screen and why?

    Feature and Follow Friday

Welcome to The Book Guru! This is my first week back to the book blogging world I am really excited to check out all the new book blogs that have popped up over the last year! Thank you Parajunkee and Alison Can Read for hosting Feature Follow.

    The question this week is:

Q: Do you mind books with similar ideas to other books? Similar concepts, backgrounds, retellings or pulled-to-publish fanfic?

A: Yes and No. I think there are very few fresh ideas out there. For instance Dystopian literature's popularity skyrocketed after the release of, The Hunger Games however decades ago authors like Lois Lowery and Janet McNaughton were pioneering the genre. Additionally Charles de Lint (another Canadian author) wrote urban fantasy novels long before they became popular. Do I still love The Hunger Games, Divergent, and Matched? Yes I do!

With that said if you are blatently copying anothers idea weather it be a plot line, the cover of a book, a character description then no I have no respect for that.

    Have a great Friday!

Moving past the sparkles and the vegetarian lifestyle, MORNINGSIDE shows vampires in a new light. Humanity believes them to be one thing, without any deviation-- the perfection of a human hunter.
